Entitled "Descending Into Hell" the song comes from the band’s second full-length album "Sons Of Thunder", which released through Facedown Records on June 23rd, 2009 in the US. "Descending Into Hell" features guest vocals by former 100 Demons vocalist Bruce LePage, a band that used to be known for their publically proclaimed Anti-Christian stance. A couple of years ago Bruce got set free from a heavy drug addiction by the healing power of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. Bruce already appeared on Sleeping Giant’s first record "Dread Champions of the Last Days" in the song "Sleeping Giant".

About their relationship with Bruce, Sleeping Giant vocalist Thom Green comments: "We met Bruce when Sleeping Giant played with 100 Demons at the Showcase Theatre out in California and I was able to share my testimony with him after the show. He was extremely touched by my personal testimony and it lead to an opportunity to encourage Bruce quite a bit in his own relationship with Christ. He actually was a Christian prior to then, but he had been going through some rough times in life etc. Now he is still very much our friend as you can tell from his vocals on the new record. We speak to each other regularly and still maintain a good friendship, as does the rest of the band with him. Bruce is still very much involved in the hardcore scene and is currently working with several bands on tour."

About the meaning of the lyrics for "Descending Into Hell" Thommy goes on: "The song is a response to human trafficking, sex slaves, and aliens forced into labor without any chance of freedom. It is meant to advocate justice for those people and create awareness regarding their situation. The song was inspired and written to partner with any organization that works to set captives free. We know and love organizations that will break into the underworld and take little children out of it. The goal is to be like Christ by standing up for those that have no voice. Pray for them.
