Hailing from High Point, North Carolina, The Ascendicate is primed and ready to pounce on the metal world this February when they release their Solid State debut. In late 2007, producer Travis Wyrick (P.O.D., Pillar, Inhale Exhale, Spoken) sent the newly-finished record to Solid State Records and immediately caught the attention of A&R’s Jimmy Ryan (Haste The Day) and Ryan Clark (Demon Hunter), who helped bring the band to the Solid State family. "I love this band’s intensity. They write great, well-structured songs with equal parts heavy and melody - just the way I like it." says Clark. With a load of catchy melodies weaved throughout each song, The Ascendicate is sure to be a favorite for fans of bands like Slipknot, Killswitch Engage and Sevendust.
