Blindside & Payable On Death (P.O.D.)
July 28th, 2009, by Tobe
Sweden’s Blindside will be recording their upcoming new album in Los Angeles with Grammy-nominated producer Howard Benson in September, with an expected release date for the effort in early 2010. The band has previously worked with Benson on their major label albums "Silence" (2002) and "About A Burning Fire" (2004). Before the studio time, Blindside will play live at the Exit Concerts event on August 29th in Las Vegas, NV, alongside Flyleaf and Brian ’Head’ Welch. Watch a trailer for it here! Exit Concerts is an event series P.O.D. frontman Sonny Sandoval is heavily involved in through his newly started outreach-type organisation "The Whosoevers". Watch him talk about it at this link and here. You can also follow Sonny on Twitter here!
Regarding the current status of P.O.D., Sonny furthermore stated in a recent interview: "We’ve been taking a break since our tour in South America. We have a couple shows here in the states this year but everyone is working on their own things right now. We’ve been playing for 17 years. I think it’s time to rest." While P.O.D. bass player Traa Daniels has been keeping busy with his artist development company Ryot Entertainment Group, as well as the release of his book "Pack It In - Kill Or Be Killed In The Music Industry" (watch a video interview with him here!), guitarist Marcos Curiel has recently gotten together with former Chevelle bass player Joe Loeffler and former Papa Roach drummer Dave Buckner in the new band Interview. Marcos also runs Blacklisted Royalty Recordings. P.O.D. drummer Noah ’Wuv’ Bernardo is furthermore still involved in Stillwell, the project started by KoRn bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu! - Blindside: [Website] [MySpace] [Fan MySpace] [PureVolume] [Facebook] [LastFM] [YouTube] [Wikipedia] [Release Presentation: "The Black Rose EP" (2007)] - P.O.D.
